Meisha (a.k.a. Merryl) Elias has been belly dancing for 10 years and teaching for 5 years.  Meisha is an arabic name meaning "Full of Life".  Influenced by other forms of dance she has studied, including latin, freestyle and ballet, her lively teaching style and "East meets West" performances reflect this and bring a theatrical element to an event.  She specialises in Modern Fusion and Fantasy styles of Belly Dance. 

Meisha currently teaches weekly mixed ability Fusion Belly Dance classes in Radstock near Bath, Centerparcs at Longleat, and Rode, between Trowbridge and Frome.  She is also available for solo performances and offers workshops for both adults (e.g. clubs/societies) and children (in schools). Schools' workshops can be linked to the curriculum or held as part of Arts weeks or Healthy Schools. Meisha also teaches weekly Freestyle Dance classes for Adults in Radstock. 

Meisha has a Professional Qualification in Freestyle Dance (IDTA Associate Member) and is one of the first Belly Dance Teachers in the UK to have received the IDTA Belly Dance Teachers' Diploma (Hons).  She has also gained numerous IDTA medals in Belly Dance and Freestyle Dance, has a recent Enhanced CRB certificate, First Aid qualification and holds both Public Liability Insurance and a Phonographic Performance Licence (PPL).  She has attended workshops with a number of internationally renowned Arabic Dancers, including Farida Fahmy, Keti Sharif, Raheesha, Ozgen, Ava Fleming, Princess Farhana, Isidora Bushkovski, Morocco, Mia Serra, Raphaelle Masson, Karine Butchart, Heike Humphries, Carmen Jones, Michelle Pender and Agarma Tan, and continues to update her skills and repertoire on a regular basis.
